When Should I go to the ER with a Sporting Injury?

Come to South Shore ER right away if your injury has caused an obvious deformity or extreme swelling or bruising.

If you’ve suffered any type of head injury, it’s important to get it checked out immediately, especially if you were unconscious, even if only for a short time.

Many minor strains or sprains can be treated at home by using the R.I.C.E treatment plan: Rest, Ice, Compression and Elevation.

If the pain doesn’t go away after a couple of days see your doctor or come to our ER for urgent care 24/7.
